Individual Services
Summit Nutrition provides you with expert nutrition and dietary advice to help you reach your peak.
Nutrition and dietary advice is provided in a one-on-one format using a variety of mediums including face to face, email, internet or phone. Initial consultations are 45-60 minutes long and review consultations are between 25 and 30 minutes.
During consultations we will discuss your goals and strategies to assist you to reach your peak. We will undertake an assessment of your medical, social and dietary history so we can come up with a plan to help you reach your goals in a way that fits in with your lifestyle and personal requirements.
At Summit Nutrition we translate the latest scientific information about nutrition into practical advice about what to eat to ensure you have the best chance to reach your peak!
At Summit Nutrition we can give you advice on the following:
- nutrition at work;
- nutrition for sports performance;
- weight loss and weight management;
- supplements;
- dietary assessment;
- diets for people with special needs (diabetes, cardiovascular disease, bowel diseases and disorders, nutritional deficiencies, vegetarians, high cholesterol and blood pressure);
- understanding food labels; and
- cooking and food preparation.
Summit Nutrition also provides a range of programs for individuals. These comprehensive programs cover all aspects of food, nutrition and activity to ensure you have all the tools to reach and maintain your peak. Group services include a range of one off, or a series of presentations to suit your environment. For example:

- Weight Maintenance and Weight Loss.
On the sporting field
- Every day nutrition, Pre and Post Competition Nutrition and supplements;
- Carbohydrate, protein and hydration requirements; and

Private Health and Medicare Rebates
Private Health Fund Rebates
Individual consultations are rebatable through most private health funds. The rebate will depend on your level of cover. To determine your rebate entitlement for summit nutrition services please contact your private health care provider.
Medicare Rebates
The Medicare Allied Health Initiative allows chronically ill people who are being managed by their GP under an Enhanced Primary Care Plan to be referred to Summit Nutrition and receive a rebate for our services.
Patients referred to Summit Nutrition under an Enhanced Primary Health Care Plan are entitled to five sessions in a calendar year. The current medicare rebate for each session with Summit Nutrition under an Enhanced Primary Care Plan is $47.80.
If you have been referred to Summit Nutrition under an Enhanced Primary Health Care Plan you will be required to pay for your consultations up front and take the receipt back to medicare to claim the rebate.
