What is a nutritional analysis and what is involved?

A nutritional analysis takes into consideration your current diet, exercise and fitness goals. An initial consultation (15 min) will allow us to gain an understanding of your current nutritional practises and identify any problem areas (pre-consultation form will be emailed to you prior to your appointment). Once a consultation has been completed your diet will be analysed using specialist software. The results will allow us to produce a full evaluation which includes a meal plan, nutritional suggestions, recommendations and recipes.

I am not an elite athlete, can I use Summit Nutrition’s services?

Yes, Summit Nutrition works with a broad portfolio of clients to ensure they are using nutrition in a positive way to compliment training. Whether you are elite, sub-elite, an avid exerciser or someone looking to complete your first fun run, Summit Nutrition can accommodate your needs.

What is body composition?

Body composition is used to describe the percentage of fat, bone, water and muscle in human bodies.

What is skinfold testing and how are measurements taken?

Skinfold testing is method used to determine a person’s body fat percentage. Calipers are used to lightly pinch the skin in 3-9 different locations of the body and the results provide a body fat percentage reading.
